Pair of Holy Land Iron Age Pottery Vessels

Near East/the Levant, Holy Land, Iron Age, ca. 8th to 5th century BCE. A pair of complementary buff vessels. First, a deep bowl with a sloping interior, tall vertical sides, and a diminutive round foot. Second, a vase with dramatic proportions: a wide shoulder that tapers sharply in to a thin leg before flaring out into a round foot. The mouth, likewise, flares out from the top of the vessel, with a wide, gently sloping rim. Size of bowl: 7.5" W x 3.05" H (19 cm x 7.7 cm)
Provenance: private Orange County, California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
