fourth quarter 19th century, the seven molded bronze candle cups set into feather-molded drip pans on leaf-molded and scrolled candle arms, above red griotte marble urns, raised on gilt-bronze monopodal legs decorated with masques and ending in hairy paw feet, the bronze fluted standards wrapped with serpents, all on bronze-trimmed red griotte marble tripartite bases.
h. 36", dia. 11-3/4"

Provenance: Estate of Norma Crawford Myers, Dallas, Texas.
Condition Report: Striking lot in overall good condition, brightly gilded and with crisp detail.

The "urn" below the arms of both is patinated bronze, NOT MARBLE.
Both marble bases with typical scattered nicks, dings and small patches/filler to edges/corners.
A small oval decorative gilt-bronze element on one marble base lacking the knob.
One marble base with a shallow patch (1/2" x 1") on the top surface with an adjacent flake chip (1/2"). The marble base of this example does not sit flush with the lower gilt-bronze element.
