Pair of Roman Leaded Bronze Feet w/ Sandals
Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A wonderful pair of leaded bronze feet, one right and one left, formed using the lost wax (cire perdue) process. Both display broad forms with flat, lengthy phalanges. The rectangular top of a sandal with several diagonal bands on either side lays atop each of lovely foot. Size (both the same): 2.75" L x 1" W x 0.875" H (7 cm x 2.5 cm x 2.2 cm)

Condition Report: Both are fragments of a larger piece. Both have losses to heels and soles. Right has minute loss to big toe. Some light abrasions and softening of detail to both. Otherwise, both are very nice with lovely patina.
