Pair of York and Lancaster Bas-Relief Carvings
Large hand-carved stone plaques depict the heraldic symbols of the Houses of York and Lancaster (the War of the Roses) above the name of each house and surrounded by leaves. Removed from an estate in Gloucestershire which acquired them in the early 18th century. Likely 17th century.
H 47-1/2" W 26-1/2" D 6"
Condition: Good with old iron repairs to sides and a few cracks.
