A pair of silver plated bronze display bowls by Victor Saglier (1809-1894) . They take the form of two figures (a boy and a girl) holding onto a branch that springs from a moving base decorated with acanthus leaves and volutes. They each support a bowl in cut crystal. Victor Saglier hallmarks on each base (letters V and S surrounding a ship) . In very good condition. Napoleon III period. Height with bowl: 24 cm Height without bowl: 21. 4 cm Bowl diameter: 23 cm
