Rare pair of vases on a wooden stand illuminated in gold. They are finlely carved and depict sages seated in a landscape with trees. In good overall condition with veining and wear compatible with its age and with normal expansion of the materials. Putty used in a few places to attach the base to the vase. Some feet glued. Ivory measurements 16 x 6. 5 x 4. 5 cm Japanese items from the Meiji period The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer.
