Carved bamboo wrapped in hand woven rattan; with a carved bamboo mallet; both fire branded in traditional linear Palawan tribal iconography; the carved bamboo drum is carved in 4 V shaped slats that are raised above the body of the instrument by bamboo pins at either end on 4 opposing sides. Red 'David Howard Tribal Art' sticker. Circa 1930. {Approximate dimensions: Drum 20 3/4 high x 3 3/4 inches diameter, mallet 13 1/4 inches long.}.
