A very fine Japanese shibayama panel decorated with gilt lacquer and inlaid with bone and mother of pearl to depict a bird perched on a branch planted in a well bucket
The panel is mounted with a reticulated brass hook at the top for hanging it.

Measuring 46. 7 x 22. 8 cm

Condition - A piece of inlay missing and the bottom wooden list missing. Otherwise good with marks and blemishes commensurate with age
