Chiselled and embossed round bronze plate, gilt on the front, depicting the profile of Pope Innocenzo XI with inscription. Subject: Pope Innocent XI (1611-1689) , born Benedict Odescalchi, was the 240th Pope of the Catholic Church from 1676 to his death. He was proclaimed blessed by Pius XII in 1956. The plate is placed in a carved wood monstrance-shaped frame that still has traces of gilding and lacquering. Made in the early 18th century, the frame with base is from the 19th century.
