Gunn (M.) and Codd (L.E.) Botanical Exploration of Southern Africa. In 1854 the post of Colonial Secretary at the Cape was filled by the Hon. Rawson W. Rawson, a keen and versatile naturalist, and he and Pappe were appointed trustees of the newly revived South African Museum. The two collaborated on the publication of this study.
