Nice vintage Parker "61" model MK I from 1957 fountain pen.
First version, early production - "61" engraved on barrel lip and not on cap sides.
Double hallmarked - Parker and MADE IN USA engraved on cap lip together with hallmark "P-1/10-14K-GF". No Parker logo !
In black Lucite plastic body.
Heritage Rainbow cap, alternating silver and 1/10 12K yellow Gold Filled waves.
Gold plated clip, tassie and inlaid section arrow.
Gray translucent mother-of-pearl cap and barrel jewels.
Thin metal GP clutch ring.
Gold 14K nib, "M" medium tip (looks so) .
With original capillary filler Teflon coated.
Measures:
- length total: 139mm
- diametre max. (cap without clip) : 12,1mm
Made in USA.

CONDITION:
Pen has been cleaned and buffed to restore original shine and beauty.
Please see detail pictures, especially last ones, and consider following imperfections only: there is a small hairline stress crack, about 4mm long on barrel lip - practically unnoticeable and won't compromise the function and integrity of the pen; the cap MOP jewel shows slight yellowing and is micro crackled inside one side - nice age patina; the capillary filler shows slight wear to teflon coat but only on top and bottom edges.
Otherwise, excellent overall and no flaws. No obvious scratches, no nicks, dings or scuffs. Nothing really negative to mention. No deformation to cap and barrel. Clip perfectly straight aligned and adjusts firmly to the cap surface.
Nib is ok, straight and with plenty iridium on tip. Writing perfectly and smoothly. No leaks or blots.
No oxidations. No repairs. No deformation to cap and barrel.
Crisp engravings.
Perfectly clean.
No personal engravings.
