Parthian Gilt Silver Cup with Leaf Design
2nd-1st century BC. A parcel-gilt silver cup with flared rim and rounded base; to the sidewall a band of gilded acanthus leaf motifs with vertical billeted stems between tongue-shaped panels with billeted borders, draped gilt swags to the foot with inverted chevrons; rosette to the underside and gilt band to the lip made in imitation of a Hellenistic original.
