Parthian Serapis and Isis Figurine Pair

1st century BC-3rd century AD. A pair of bronze figures of Serapis and Isis-Fortuna modelled in the round, each wearing a modius, dressed in tunic and carrying a cornucopia; detailing to their hair, faces, clothes and attributes; both standing on a D-section loop. 307 grams total, 10.5-11cm (4 - 4 1/4"). From the private collection of a North West London lady; previously with a central London gallery; formerly acquired before 1990. The original use of these figures was possibly as weights for scales. Serapis and Isis-Fortuna were both associated with fertility and prosperity. [2]
