PASSAU - BAVARIA - GERMANY

Ornamental biscuit porcelain basket made by the German manufacturer Dressel, Kister & Cie of Passau.
This spectacular artefact is strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau and Art Nouveau tastes.
The product is of great quality; just observe the plasticity of the putti's bodies and the mimetic precision with which the weaving of the wicker threads was rendered.

BRAND and PERIOD: the brand is engraved on the base and is the one used by the manufacturer in the period from 1907 to 1922.

DIMENSIONS: the basket has a height of approximately 27. 5 cm, a width of approximately 26. 5 cm and a depth of approximately 14 cm.

CONSERVATION: the artefact has several small defects on the leaves and three minimal restorations, which however do not compromise its beauty and value on a qualitative and ornamental level. The defects detected have been highlighted in the photos, which we therefore invite you to observe as they are an integral part of the description.
The tips of several leaves are missing (we have not quantified them by counting them, however most of the leaves have minimal deficiencies) , the edge of the basket has two small restorations (two small breaks have been repaired) and the head of one of the two putti is unfortunately it was reglued through restoration.
