Scarce Mexican printing of these pastoral letters. Mentioned on pages 160 and 173 are the provinces of Coahuila, Texas, Nayarith, and the Californias. Listings in OCLC indicate the first leaf, A1, not present in this copy, was a blank, and they give the caption title, as here. It is dated on p.172, "Fecha en nuestro Palacio Episcopal de la Ciudad de Guadalaxara a 25 de Agosto de 1769. Diego Obispo de Guadalaxara." OCLC sources, however, indicate it was likely printed in Puebla. There is a library shelf-stamp at the foot of the last page.
