The reference 5131 brings a colourful presence to the wrist with its Closionné enamel dial. In the impressive process of enamelling, thin gold wires are fused onto the metal, filled with pigment by enamel artists and subsequently fired at high temperatures to form the enamel. This process is repeated until the cloisons are filled to the top of the wire. Sanding and polishing lends the shiny smooth surface to the finished dial.

First produced only in yellow gold, the reference was released in a white gold version in 2009 and in a pink gold version in 2014. The pink gold 5131, like the present lot, was discontinued in 2018 and replaced by an edition in platinum.
