Dial: Sunburst anthracite, applied polished baton hour markers, white outer 1/5th second divisions with luminous five minute markers, subsidiary dial at 6 for 30 minute, 12 hour recording and day and night indication, day and month apertures at 10 and 2, date aperture at 12, up/down indication below 12, polished leaf hands with luminous inserts, white centre chronograph hand
Case: Brushed and polished round, screw down exhibition back, quick set buttons in the band at 9 and 10, diamond set between the lugs at 6, crown flanked by twin pushers, No.435451

The Reference 5960 is a favourite among collectors as it contains a highly desirable in-house automatic chronograph movement. Inspired by the iconic 3970, the 5960 features a round compact case with round pushers. The current lot is an example of their earlier production and features the original brushed grey anthracite version dial. As of 2010, this was replaced with a brushed blue dial.
