This highly unusual and attractive Patek Philippe wristwatch is one of only very few white-gold examples of reference 4121/1 to have appeared at auction to date. In production between 1971 and 1974, the design of the case made by Weber is repeated on the integrated bracelet links. The careful craftmanship applied in the making of this unusual timepiece is further enhanced by the nice frame around the dial and bracelet links. The fragmented and multi-shaped mirror-like pieces on the striking blue dial by Stern Frères and bracelet is called “blue gold”. This layout catches the eye and adds a playful note to the ensemble. Retailed by Asprey, the watch is also provided with the extract from the archives confirming its white-gold case and its production in 1972 and subsequent sale on the 15th of August 1973.
