With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin from Patek Philippe Genève dated 8 October 2012 confirming that the present watch is set with 1648 diamonds weighing 9.358 carats.

To mark the opening of a new branch of Maison Patek Philippe in Shanghai in 2012, the most prestige Swiss watchmaker has released a series of limited edition timepieces including a novelty Nautilus with enameled and engraved dragon. Dragon is a mythical powerful creature celebrated by Chinese culture. It symbolizes strength, health, harmony, and intellectuality. According to the legend, the Chinese believe themselves as “descendants of the dragon”. The ref 5720 is designed to depict a five-clawed dragon striding amidst engraved clouds, each watch is finely decorated with pavé-set diamonds and dragon on the dial that extends to the bezel which is enameled with 10 different colors. Due to the hand enameling process in which every example varies slightly, this watch could be considered as a unique piece.
