Condition Report:
Case: The case is very well-preserved and in our opinion unpolished. The stepped lugs are clearly defined and retains its sharp edges, even the indent of the stepped lugs can be seen on the feets on reverse. Stamped numbers ‘766’ is present on the inner surface of the top left lug. The two hallmarks behind the lugs are deep and crisp. The pushers retains its facets. The surface has light wear normal for its age and has developed an intense layer of attractive patina on the bezel and between the lugs.
Dial: The dial is well-preserved with its accent on its signature and retains its warm hue. The dial has possibly seen a light cleaning in its previous history where aging marks can be seen near the applied numerals on close inspection. The hard enamel remains slightly raised with all graphics intact. The apertures retains its sharp edges.
Movement:
The present example displays a perpetual chronograph movement that is ticking and functions properly, date advances past midnight during the cataloguing process. Please note that the movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended.
