Reference 2451 Calatrava
A stainless steel wristwatch, Circa 1950

Dial: silvered
Caliber: mechanical, 18 jewels
Movement number: 953’069
Case: stainless steel, screw down case back
Case number: 654’787
Size: 30.5 mm diameter
Signed: case, dial and movement
Box: no
Papers: no

Condition Report:
Case: The case is in good condition. Light scratching on the case and case back consistent with age. Initials are engraved on the back of the upper left lug. The watch has been previously polished.
The case back outer edges have signs of being opened with the case back tools grip leaving light indents. Please note that the strap and buckle are generic and not signed Patek Philippe.

Dial: The dial has spotting and color loss throughout, specifically between the 1, 2, and 3 o’clock indicators. The dial has been cleaned in our opinion. There is dust and debris present, most notably around the 6 o’clock mark and between the indicators at 10 and 11 o’clock. Reumed.

Movement: The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.

***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only. We will remove these bands prior to international shipping and the state of California.***
