We will remove these bands prior to international shipping and the state of California.***

Catalogue Note:
Exceedingly refined and exceptionally complex, the reference 5959 is one of Patek Philippe's most notable split seconds chronograph. The reference was launched in 2005, paying its homage to early chronographs manufactured by the firm dating back to the 1920s. Housed in a 33 mm platinum case which only has 2 buttons to control it rather than 3, the mechanical calibre CHR 27-525 PS reveals its sophistication through the sapphire crystal display back, with a height of only 5.25 millimeters. Up until recently, it was the thinnest split-seconds column wheel chronograph movement ever built.

Produced in platinum with two dial variants, the first series was available with a white lacquered dial and painted black Breguet numerals, followed by a black metal dial version with applied white gold Breguet numerals launched in 2008. Discontinued in 2018, it is estimated that less than 100 examples of the reference were manufactured over the course of its production.
