Catalogue Note:
The reference 5960 was a milestone reference for Patek Philippe. It is equipped with the first automatic chronograph wristwatch featuring an annual calendar, the caliber CH 28-520, designed and manufactured completely in-house. Since its launch in 2006, the reference 5960 has undergone various configurations, first offered only in platinum with an anthracite grey dial, like the present lot, followed by a version in pink gold, white gold and stainless steel.
The 5960 retains a wonderfully sporty look and is a highly practical timepiece that is favored for daily wear amongst collectors thanks to its intuitive annual calendar complication and comfortable yet stylish wrist presence.
