Case: The case is in good condition with signs of wear commensurate with age and has been previously lightly polished. The crystal glazing has visible signs of surface scuffing and scratches. The bezel has some minor nicks throughout with a visible one at the 2 o’clock mark. The case back is engraved 'Gilbert Newhall Davis 1942'. Please note that the strap and buckle are generic and not signed Patek Philippe.
Dial: The refinished dial has visible signs of age and oxidation throughout. The dial has surface scratches and hairlines present, especially around the Breguet numerals. Spotting throughout the dial, specifically in the second sub-dial.
Movement: The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
