Case: 18k yellow gold, hinged case back and cuvette, case back with monogram WA, cuvette inscribed 'Wharton Allen from Benjamin Allen April 2nd 1916,' No. 159799
Dial: White enamel, radial Arabic numerals
Movement: 17''' 'Special', 20 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, swan neck regulator
Case, dial and movement signed by retailer, movement signed by maker
Accompanied by a 14k yellow gold chain and knife with monogram

The present watch was owned by Wharton Allen, a wealthy Philadelphian and member of the El Paso Club in Colorado Spring who was well known for his energy and antics and helped convert the El Paso Club to accepting women members in 1953.

Condition Report: The movement functions however has not been tested for accuracy or duration of power reserve. Case in overall very good condition with very minimal wear, light surface scratches to the case, monogram to the back crisp. Dial in very good condition with no visible hairlines. Movement in very good condition.
