Geneve, front cover with small circular monogram, back with "1915" in circular frame, No. 47425 Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the constant seconds with red date numerals, days of the week, the months and aperture for the phases of the moon at twelve, gold sub hands and blued steel hour, minute and second hands Movement: No. 47425, gilt bridge model, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance, moustache pallet fork, 18 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, stamped with Lion's head mark under the dial, also numbered 47425 and 01 under the dial Signed: Patek Philippe on the dial and case, 121.4 grams gross weight Lot is accompanied by an Extract from the Archives stating date of manufacture as 1872 and date of sale as October 21st, 1879. Two polaroid photos of the serial number, lion's head hallmark (with tongue sticking out) and the 01 indication on the main plate are also included. Lastly, a facsimile listing Archive entries with lion head marks from various Patek Philippe watches numbered 38245 - 47425 is included. It is believe the hallmark was used on top quality ebauches and the 01 indication could have been for a prototype
