Patti Smith's appearance at the Roundhouse marked the first showing in the U.K. of a U.S. band affiliated with the punk/downtown scene in New York. This performance predates the Ramones' legendary gig at the same venue by six weeks. Posters for these shows were printed in very limited runs and on thin paper. This example is one of the finest known.
