A stone bridge and a water pump further emphasize the rural setting. The lower right corner of the print bears a printed copyright symbol followed by the name Paul Detlefsen. The reverse of the work features a rectangular white adhesive paper label with blue text and a central crest device showing a palette and brushes. The label reads CREST ART PRODUCTS / MANUFACTURERS OF FINE WALL DECOR / CHICAGO, IND. 60608. Handwritten on the label in black ink are the designations PHQ9 and 544. A separate red ink stamp on the brown paper backing reads THE SMITHY. The print is housed in a large, ornate composite frame with a gold-toned finish and deep foliate relief patterns around the perimeter.
