Condition Report:
This work is in fair condition, undulation to the canvas has caused horizontal creases particularly visible to the centre, small abrasion (2 x 3 cm to the lower left), and associated craquelure, discoloration from the top.

The online images may represent colours and shades which are different to the lot's actual colour and shades. Unlike a print catalogue there is no standardized colour profile to enable a constant visual representation for online media. In the absence of an industry certified media colour profile for viewing images online, each device whether it be an iPhone, Samsung, laptop, iPad, etc., will display the images to their own unique device setting, therefore the final visual result will always vary.

If a condition report is provided to assist you with assessing the condition of the lot, it is for guidance purposes only. Such condition report may not refer to all faults, restoration, alterations, or adaptations because Sotheby's is not a professional conservator or restorer but rather a condition report is a statement of subjective, qualified opinion genuinely held by Sotheby's. For these reasons, any such condition report is not an alternative to taking your own professional advice regarding the condition of the lot. Prospective buyers should also refer to the Guide for Buyers at Auction which includes important notices concerning the type of property in this sale.
