Paul Hutner b.1948 Abstract Canvas Works 3pc LOT
Paul Hutner (Canadian, born 1948), lot of three large abstract oil paintings on unstretched canvas featuring colorful gestural compositions with swirling forms, layered brushwork, splatters and geometric elements. Includes a white and pink composition with large circular forms in pink, red, yellow, teal and black; a composition of rainbow-hued arcs and a central spiral over brown and deep blue grounds; and a white composition with maroon and multicolored accents. Executed in an Abstract Expressionist style with energetic brushwork and saturated color. Two signed verso, each with an illegible title inscription. Unframed and unmounted. Unstretched canvases measure approximately 67" x 82" (white and pink), 83" x 88" (blue) and 77" x 84" (with maroon).
Condition: Good to fair overall condition with areas of paint loss and small chips primarily to the rim and top of the neck. A hairline crack extends down from the rim of the neck.
