Paul McCobb Planner Group: Bench #1544 & Cabinet #1512
A bench (#1544) with storage cabinet (#1512), from Paul McCobb's Planner Group series, designed in 1950 for Winchendon. A combination finish of natural blonde on the bench platform and "Natural" finish on the cabinet which has the original brown grass cloth paper covering and aluminum ring pulls. The bench retains the Paul McCobb pressed label under the table top. The cabinet has impressed Paul McCobb for Winchendon signature on the back.
The bench measures 10" x 48" x 18", and the cabinet measures 24" x 24" x 18".
Condition Report: Cabinet has unaligned slide track and wear on original finish. Bench has fading on surface from being covered by cabinet and some wear appropriate with age of the piece.
