Eastern Lodge formerly the seat of the Maynards, Earls of Essex, was built circa 1593 and was destroyed by fire in 1847.
Condition report:
37.5 x 44.5cm framed
Generally, the paper is in a good condition with no major signs of damage and only minor signs of warping. The paint is also in a good condition with no significant signs of paint loss. There are some scratches which are visible on close inspection - one located between the upper and lower right quadrants, the other in the lower left upon the tree. There is slight surface dirt throughout and dirt trapped under the frame.
