The canvas is unlined. The surface is richly textured. One nailhead sized pigment loss to the red background at upper center. Frame abrasion and scattered loss to all four edges Some scattered craquelure. Under UV light: no inpainting is apparent, but a thick varnish makes the surface difficult to read through.
