Paula Meizner (American, born Poland, 1904-1990), Constructivist Black Painted Wood and Metal Found Object Sculpture. 47" H x 19.5" W x 8" D. Provenance: From the estate of the artist. Note: The award-winning artist fled Nazi occupation as a child and moved to New York via Havana, Cuba in 1943. She went on to study under artist Helen Beling (American, 1914-2001) and has exhibited widely across the United States including at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (formerly Larry Aldrich Museum), the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Hudson River Museum, and the Detroit Institute of Fine Arts.
