Austrian peacock menorah. [Austro-Hungary? the 19th century?].
Silver plated brass tin (signed: 1124 w.n.f.).
A base for bezikhs, behind it a wall with the sawing and carving of a decorative gate, topped with a Torah crown and flanked by a pair of lions. Behind the row of blazes stands a peacock whose feathers rise up and complete the wall. On the sides of the menorah, a model of a bird on a swing, and a pitcher (removable).
