One graduated single strand pearl necklace 18.5" princess length, knotted with a tongue clasp & foldover safety containing 35 south sea cultured pearls, 14.1mm to 11.3mm in size., ros? overtone. The featured pearl necklace has a 14KT yellow gold buckle motif clasp encrusted with diamonds and four diamond set rondels. The main source of Australian South Sea pearls lies in the northwest on the Kimberly coast. South Sea cultured pearls are formed in the Pinctada Maxima oyster, which is the world's largest pearl cultivating oyster and is native to the South China Sea, the Java, the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. There are two varieties of the Pinctada Maxima oyster: the Gold Lipped oyster which produces golden colored pearls, and the Silver Lipped oyster which produces white colored pearls.
