This antique 19th-century seal fob/pendant, crafted from 15kt. yellow gold features a Carnelian intaglio depicting what is possibly the crest of the Carmichael family or clan, along with the French phrase 'Toujours Prest,' which translates to 'Always Ready' in English. At the Battle of Baugé, he reportedly broke his spear while unhorsing the Duke of Clarence, leading to the Duke's demise by Sir Alexander Buchan, which greatly demoralized the English forces.
