Splendid early 1900s brooch in 18 KT yellow gold, rectangular with the upper part worked in oblique lines from which a small yellow gold medal depicting the face of Jesus hangs.
The images on the medal are from the early 1900s and you can see that they are different from the modern ones.
As was the custom in ancient times, these pendants were hung with a pin on children's clothes. But today they can be used in a different way by adding a necklace to make a necklace.
The beauty is precisely the pin which resembles the safety ones with the interlocking locking hook and excellently worked on the upper part and its weight is 5 grams.
The medal depicts the figure of Jesus on one side and the writing God Protect You on the other and is round in shape with a diameter of 1 and a half cm with the depiction of Jesus on the front and the writing God Protect You on the back.
The workmanship of the face of Jesus is splendid, with attention to the details of the hair and beard circumscribed in a circle with lines engraved on the sides.
Today the medal is used with a chain, if desired, a particular necklace can be made with a chain welded to the pin. .
Please pay attention to the photos that speak louder than words and contain enlargements to better see the image that each medal represents.
It is part of my family's jewels, partly handed down to me. I found it at home like this among the family jewels and I believe it was an ancient object given the type of workmanship.
It can be worn as a pendant on a unisex necklace.
I left it as I found it but currently it is difficult to find similar images
United by a brooch and this attests to the value of an antique as well as economical object.
