Splendid early 1900s brooch in 18 KT yellow gold, rectangular with the upper part worked in oblique lines from which two medals hang, one in yellow gold depicting the face of Jesus and one of the Madonna in rose gold.
The images of the medals are from the early 1900s and you can see that they are different from the modern ones.
As was the custom in ancient times, these pendants were hung with a pin on children's clothes. But today they can be used in a different way by adding a chain you can make a necklace.
The beauty is precisely the pin that recalls the safety ones with the interlocking locking hook and excellently worked on the upper part.
The first medal which depicts the figure of Jesus on one side and on the other the writing God Protect you is round shaped with a diameter of 1 cm with the depiction of Jesus on the front and the writing God protect us on the back.
The workmanship of the face is splendid, as are the engravings of the writing.
The depiction of the sacred subjects in both is meticulous in detail.
The yellow gold pin and yellow gold medal weigh three grams of 18k gold.
The second is very beautiful because it measures 1 cm in diameter, is made of rose gold and has a depiction of the Madonna, Immaculate Conception with the crown on her head and on the sides the rays of the sun characterized by oblique parallel lines.
It weighs 1 gram and is low-carat antique gold.
Two splendid medals but what gives them particular value and shows that they are early 20th century jewels is precisely the brooch.
Today the medal is used with a chain, if desired you can create a particular necklace with a chain welded to the ends or a goldsmith can create a hook to hang it.
Even in this, the details of the faces and images are taken care of down to the smallest detail.
Please pay attention to the photos that speak louder than words and contain enlargements to better see the image that each medal represents.
They are part of my family's jewels, partly handed down to me. I found them in the house together with the rectangular brooch among the family jewels and I think they were ancient objects that they had put together to keep hanging so I believed, as with all the objects I sell, to maintain the state in which my ancestors had kept them .
It can be worn as a pendant on a unisex necklace or bracelet or to make two earring patches.
I left them as I found them but it is currently difficult to find similar images
United by a brooch and this attests to the value of an antique as well as economical object.
I ship via private courier and not postal so that the object has double packaging, placed in a cardboard box with a thousand bubbles and cotton wool and then in a cardboard box, so communication is simpler and it arrives sooner.
Shipping costs change depending on the buyer's place of residence, whether Europe zone 1 or 2 such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom or Eastern countries such as Romania, Slovenia, Russia and the rest of the world.
Customs duties will be paid by the buyer.
