Beautiful, antique design secretaire en portefeuille desk from the late 19th century, designed by the Parisian company, headed by one of the most famous French cabinetmakers from the late century, with his workshop in the centre of Paris. This secretaire desk of beautiful Louis XV style design is made of mahogany wood with darkening inside. The decoration of the central piece is a floral set of inlays of different woods. The interior with two drawers and a central drawer are included in the design with a light coloured mat. All the details are in bronze or brass, typical of the period, and the legs are curved in the classic French style. The piece is in good condition with some mark typical of the passage of time, like one of the details in brass. Registered shipping and well packed.
