A Persian Ceramic Vase, Late Safavid Dynasty. Blue and white glazed vase with bands of repetitive motifs at the neck, body, and base consisting of scrolling leaves a vines, stylized flowers, abstract figures, and geometric motifs. Repair and restoration to the rim, cracks evident primarily at interior, but some also about the exterior. 8 x 8 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $200-400 Purchased from Rabi 'Hadji' Soleimani in London in June of 1989.
