Pertaining to Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. A gent's 18ct gold Cyma Automatic 'Cymaflex' wrist watch,

with presentation inscription engraved to verso 'David 26-3-52 Wallis', March 26th 1952 being the 58th birthday of Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor (Edward VIII), London hallmarks for 1950, on replacement blue leather strap, accompanied by a handwritten note in French stating that the watch was the property of Suzanne Blum - 'Cyma montre de monsieur, propriete de Suzanne Blum'. Blum was the lawyer who was awarded power of attorney over the affairs of Wallis Simpson after the death of the Duke of Windsor in 1972 and is believed to have sold many of her client's possessions. It is understood that the previous owners of this watch bought it in Paris during the 1980's.
