Petrus Antonius Hermanus Brouwer (painter) was born on the 1st of August 1935 in Utrecht, and died on the 4th of September 2010 in Sneek. He was a student of painter John Bévort (1917 – 1996) and painter Cor van Diggelen (1921 – 1989) . He attended the evening academy in Utrecht and was a pupil of painter Henk Bellaard (1896 – 1975) . Subsequently, he was taught by his uncle Piet Brouwer, who was a teacher at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. Peter Brouwer mainly made paintings of forest views, floral still lifes, cityscapes, beach views, seascapes and sailing ships. Peter was lid van ‘the International Organization of Free Art’.
