* Peter Mallison (British 1943-2025) - 'Plaiting'- Oil on canvas - Signed lower right - 58cm x 70cm, 74cm x 86.5cm framed - [Peter Mallison SWAc label verso]. Peter Mallison was a figurative and portrait painter who works explored the fundamental forms and mannerisms of the human body. His paintings were produced predominately using oil on canvas and explored natural forms in their silence, solitude and sensuality. His work has been exhibited across the UK including The Royal Academy in London, The Royal West of England Academy in Bristol and The South West Academy in Exeter. Mallison's paintings have also been acquired in private collections across the UK and Europe. He studied at Wolverhampton College of Art and Camberwell School of Art & Crafts and was awarded the National Diploma in Art and Design. During an earlier period in London, he was appointed as design director within a major UK fashion and textile group based in London.
