Peter Pan John Darling Original Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953)....
Peter Pan John Darling Original Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953). "Therefore, we simply surround them and take them by surprise." From the 14th Walt Disney animated feature film, Peter Pan, we present a charming 16 field animation drawing of Wendy's younger brother John Darling. Ever the strategist, John, dressed for adventure with his top hat and carrying his trusty umbrella, can be found creating a plan with the Lost Boys so they can sneak up on the local Indian tribe in Neverland... who are currently sneaking up on all of them! John was originally named after J. M. Barrie's brother Jack and takes after his father with his more sophisticated appearance and speech patterns, often repeated and simplified by his younger brother Michael. His charming and childish personality was further brought to life by John's voice actor Paul Collins and the character's supervising animator Milt Kahl (1909 – 1987), who also supervised Wendy, Michael, Peter, and the Darling siblings' father George. John's hand-drawn figure, measuring 5.5" x 7.5", is rendered in graphite, nicely center on the page that's numbered and circled 3A in the lower right corner, and can be seen at the 34:49 timestamp of the animated film. The overall condition is Very Good with light age-related toning, couple of noticeable wrinkles, and minor handling wear and edge wear. From the archives of Disney Legend Manual Gonzales.
