Peter Robert Keil (1942) - Zwei Jungen aus Berlin
Technique: Acrylic on board
Signature: Hand signed
PETER KEIL *1942 >Two boys from Berlin<
hand-signed on the front and verso
Oil/acrylic on chipboard
Black wooden frame approx. 70x50cm
Original condition with authentic patina! certificate
Keil was one of the first generation of Berlin's Young Wild Ones. Drasticity, dynamics and bright colors characterize his early works, which can certainly be seen as evidence of the early phase of West German neo-expressionism. With Joan Miró, in whose studio he was a frequent guest during his stays in Mallorca, Keil recognized how poetic associations are combined with Mediterranean color.
Now lives and works in the countryside in Bavaria and Mallorca.
