Petite Tiahuanaco Greenstone Tripod Vessel

Pre-Columbian, western Bolivia, near Lake Titicaca, Tiahuanaco (also Tiwanaku) culture, ca. 400 to 1200 CE. A hand-carved greenstone vessel of a diminutive form with a cylindrical body and a trio of tab feet. The body is incised with shallow curvilinear grooves that create abstract motifs. Size: 1.6" W x 1.9" H (4.1 cm x 4.8 cm)

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950-1990
