Petitot- French 1930 art deco chandelier Deckenlampe

[ translate ]

PETITOT A French modernist art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass and bronze by the famous Paris based maison Petitot. Around 1935. It holds four oversized shades in clear frosted moulded-pressed glass. This model shade is never signed and was most likely produced by the glass factory of Degué and can be found on modernist chandeliers of the mid thirties of Francis Hubens Hettier&Vincent and H. Petitot. Several parts of the high quality bronze mounting has AP and petitot marks on the inside. The usual initials of the Petitot company: AP for Antonin Petitot who started the company in 1878 and was the father of Henri. This model chandelier is represented in one of the old H. Petitot catalogues. It is 64cm high and 54 cm wide. The shades have a diameter of 18 cm. The chandelier is in excellent condition. I have renickeled the fixture and the lamp is rewired. It holds four european E14 sockets so you can use our normal modern light bulbs for it. For European countries I will add four LED bulbs. For the US or Japan I will rewire the chandelier with American candelabra base sockets. The chandelier will be shipped in two or three parcels. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting for over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the fragile items well protected and fully insured.
