Petrified Conifer End Cut Araucarioxylon Triassic Chinle Formation Arizona, USA So-called "rainbow" Petrified Wood from Arizona is considered some of the most beautiful in the world, and this botanical remnant from an ancient forest preserved in a myriad of brilliant colors has definitely proved that argument. Measuring 11 inches (28 cm) at maximum diameter, this ‘end cut' slab is a rather sizable offering with a polished primary display surface, and a rugged, uneven and natural bottom which is equally as colorful as the top. This gorgeous specimen offers the classic hues of magenta, mustard and blue among others. The smooth face shows some natural holes and cavities, displaying even a few deep, crystalline cavities under a reflective finish. This is really a visually spectacular Petrified Wood specimen.
