Petrified Oak Slab Quercus Miocene Wanapum Basalt Formation "Yakima," Yakima County, Washington, USA 10.08 x 6.89 x 0.46 inches (25.60 x 17.50 x 1.16 cm) At over 10 inches (25 cm) in diameter, this thin but relatively large slab of Petrified Oak once belonged to prominent collector Lewis Goodman. The reflective polished surface is a mottled mixture of colors, with an almost linear pattern of striations going "every which way" across the broad and earthy slice.
